Well-being or ill-being?

The great buddhist monk Thich Naht Hahn speaks frequently of well-being compared to ill-being. This is one of my favourite YouTubes on the subject. The Teachings of the Four Noble Truths .

When the Buddha confirms the existence of Ill-being, he confirms the existence of well-being too. By this confirmation of well-being, the Buddha confirms the cessation of ill-being. The Buddha says nothing can survive without food. If you don’t feed your love, it will die. If you don’t feed your mind, it will cease to think.

Take a few minutes to understand the depth of spirituality in this brilliant presentation by the master. Health starts with a wish to let go of ill-being to become well-being.
